Nendoroid Tainaka Ritsu – Drum Smashin’ Awesome

The figurine gods have smiled upon me and I have landed my hands on the elusive Ritsu Nendoroid! Muahahaha!

Yeah, some people might think this isn’t much of a big deal but considering how K-ON! goods have been stonewalled due to some distribution rights dispute somewhere up in the Singapore distribution pipeline, I’d say Ritsu here, is pretty rare. =/

Oh and click on the pictures for the larger version. :3

The 3rd released nendoroid of the K-ON!  nendoroid series, Ritsu comes with some serious props.

First up, the usual.

A friend has been telling me that the quality of Nendoroids and figmas have been dropping.

With Ritsu here, I guess I am beginning to see it. It is kinda hard to see through the photos, but the plastic used to make Ritsu’s hair is remarkably different from the quality of the plastic used to make the hair of the other nendoroids I had thus far (this includes Mio and Yui).

For lack of a better word, the plastic feels “cheap”. It has more of a rubbery and shiny consistency rather than the hard and matt feel of the previous nendoroids.

Of course, just like the other K-ON! girls, you cannot have Ritsu without her drums (technically, they are Tsumugi’s but lets not pick at details).

Just like how you buy some figmas for the props that come with them, the drumset that comes with Ritsu is already push enough for me to buy her. :3

Looks like Ritsu is raring to go!

Ritsu comes with an alternate lower errr…… bottom? torso? whatever, that you can exchange to get her to sit behind her drums.

Her rump is glued to the seat but interestingly, you can still remove the legs and swap them with Ritsu’s straight legs for more posing possibilities.

Err…. where did the rest of Ritsu go? ><

She be smashin’ them drums!

Let’s not forget that charming lump that Ritsu gets whenever Mio bonks her for doing something stupid.

Much like Riannon’s hat, the bump is attached via a magnet inside the bump to a metal plate embedded inside Ritsu’s head (that sounds like it hurts ><)

Looks like Ritsu was too noisy

And speaking of noise, I took all these photos at 800 ISO by accident. Stupid me.

Ritsu comes with 3 different faces the last of which is the shocked face which I will show you now.

It comes together with a different hair piece which is unkempt. We only got to see Ritsu with unkempt hair once in the show I believe. I could be wrong. =/

Late for school

Or we could have Ritsu doing this…

“Mio’s in love…with me?!”

All and all, besides the hair, Ritsu’s pretty alright.

Though I cannot say how the remainder of the incoming K-ON! nendos will fare. =/

The spotlight’s on Ritsu

And we end with a concert.

Hope you enjoyed the review.
