figma Kagami Summer Ver. – And the gang is complete (again)

And finally the last member of the Lucky Star gang arrives! (I seem to have a vague sense of deja vu here)

I actually expected her to reach me after AFA but I’m not complaining :3

Let’s get some review action going!

As mentioned previously in my combined Tsukasa and Miyuki review, the Summer Uniform set comes across to me as more energetic compared to the Winter Uniform set.

This is especially true for Kagami since most of the  faces she got initially were the “dere dere” faces despite the sharper side of her being a large part of her character as well. She only got her first angry face with Kagamiku and now another one with this set.

Konata, of course, bucks the trend.

And there’s Kagami.

To be honest, I don’t particularly favor the smile/face. It somehow seems off character to me.

It could be just me of course but I do not recall Kagami ever smiling like that.

I’m rewatching Lucky Star at the moment so I’ll get back to you guys on that ^^;;

Now this face, on the other hand, is awesome.

How can you have Kagami without her scolding face? :3

So far, I’ve been having Kagami’s back turned towards me (or more recently, using Kagamiku’s face) whenever I do a strip which involves her scolding Konata. Not anymore :3

“GTFO”

And speaking of faces, it seems I had overlooked something in my previous review.

I didn’t realise until someone pointed it out to me but apparently, the blank faces that come with the LS Summer girls are actually meant to be used with stickers just like the Nendoroids.

Screwy lighting. No idea why.

Although, anyone with common sense should have realised that, I didn’t. =P

And second inspection of the words on the back of the box did mention the stickers so I guess I should have paid more attention. (but they are JAPANESE words! With painful KANJI!)

They placed the stickers behind the background cardboard of the box so it escaped my notice previously.

So anyway, lets have some of the less official pics now :3

A certain someone I know would like this to proceed “further” if you know what I mean =P

Konata: “You are going to get fat if you keep eating like that”
Kagami: “S-S-Shut up!”

Konata: “See… I told you so.”

That’s the 2nd time I used the broken chair. I never knew it would be so useful =P

Kagami comes with Misao’s head (this sentence sounds wrong).

She’s shown below using Tsukasa’s body.

So far, with all the sets combined, we are still missing Ayano and Patty.

I still find it odd that Misao gets a showing figma-wise but Patty gets the skip. I could invoke the “Tsuruya phenomenon” here though Misao gets much more screen time compared to Tsuruya imho.

Although it is also true that Patty doesn’t appear too much in the show, it would make sense to complete the Minami/Yutaka/Hiyori/Patty group rather than start Kagami’s group.

I suspect this isn’t going to be the last of the Lucky Star figma series….

That’s not to say Misao has no charm of course.

She does make for a nice foil for Kagami, much like Konata.

Again, aforementioned person would definitely like this to go “further”.

Is it just me or does summer Kagami look more tanned? :3
