Lucky Star Beach Queens @ the Pool

Being a figure on display is a tough job, always having to stay in the same pose for hours on end and having to look your best all the time.

So as a figure collector, it is my job make sure they get some R & R.

And what better way to do so than a trip to the pool?

Having fun out in the sun today are Konata and Kagami. It has been some time since they’ve been out and they are excited as can be.

It’s a pity that Tsukasa and Miyuki still haven’t gotten over the mental shock of the Tako invasion and are both still recuperating back home.

And what a great day to be out splashing in the water!

The sun may be hot but the water is oh so cool!

It’s the perfect way to let off some steam and cool down in the eternal summer that is Singapore.

A popsicle is also great way to cool down. =3

Though it seems Konata wants to share too. =3c

Yuri is fine too =3c

Konata being the energetic one decides to play some ball.

Kagami, on the other hand, prefers to lounge on her float.

I managed to get her to pose a few shots =D

It’s great to just lie on your float and lounge around the pool…….

Though you should always be careful……

Nice float

Comments

In case anyone is wondering, the figures used in this shoot are the Lucky Star Beach Queens from Wave.

Gotta love the PVCs they put out.

All my PVCs come from Wave (though more by coincidence than by design since they are the few makers doing Lucky Star).

While I did contemplate doing the shoot at the beach, I felt it wasn’t really a good idea what with salt water and sand and all.

So I decided to go with the concept of a pool or swimming complex that you frequently see in those fanservice episodes in anime. And I knew just the place to go, Vivo city.

Yet another reason for not going to the beach was simply because to get the life-like feel I wanted, I needed to get down to the level of the figures.

And that meant I needed to get into the water, DSLR and all.

Holding my DSLR just 1 cm above the water level while lying prone in the water is certainly an experience I do not intend to repeat very soon.

Moreover, I completely underestimated the power of the sun at 12 noon and succeeded in getting myself a bad sunburn  for my efforts.

Even so, I think it was worth it.

Nevermind the agony I am going through right now. =/

I hope you enjoyed the shots.

I have no idea either
