JLPT 4 getto! A small step towards a larger world

I’m surprised there aren’t more pics of Miyuki cosplaying as Megurine Luka floating around

I finally got my JLPT 4 results after about 2 months of waiting. It certainly took it’s own sweet time coming here ^^”

The short story is I passed. =P

I was surprised at the score however considering that I took the test  with a handicap (i.e prematurely). Who says watching anime doesn’t help? XD

Though it’s hard to say since alot of people have mentioned to me that JLPT 4 is very easy. Then again, that’s also hard to say too since those people are taking/have taken their JLPT 3 and passed. =P

Regardless, it’s a small little advancement from what started as a little hobby (learning the language).

Wish me luck. JLPT3 is next.

    @老猫: Yup

    Good job! I’ve been trying to find places around me outside of a university or having to sign up for college to learn the language. I’ve tried that Rosetta Stone but its a bitch to say the least.

    @Jello: Well, it is true that learning a language as a university module is a rather rushed affair. I’m taking a jap module in university both to improve my standard and clear a requirement (2 birds with one stone). Having some knowledge before jumping into a university module helps a lot.

    To learn a language you’d better find a (human) tutor, or join a class. For the former I have no experience, but for the latter, I recommend JCS if you are looking for JL course outside your university :)

    By the time you got your result, I have forgotten all katakana and half of hiragana…
    And my kanji knowledge is zero…>_<

    Anyway, congrats ^_^

    Anyone could probably do 4. Should have saved your money and done 3 instead. It can’t be that huge of a jump. I mean what is maybe 50 to a 100 more Kanji?

    Congrats nutcase! ^^ I’m thinking of taking JPLT too this year, but I’m not sure that I have time for it or not… xD

    Congrats!

    JLPT 4kyuu is around 100 kanji and 800 words. JLPT 3kyuu is around 300 kanji and about 1500 words.

    @ted: that’s a shitload of words and kanji O_O
